Ingredients:

– 4 thick slices of bread

– 2 eggs

– 1/4 cup of buttermilk or regular milk

– 1/4 tsp of cinnamon

– 1/4 cup sugar

– 1 tbsp of Olive oil/butter

– 1/8 tsp salt / to taste

Instructions:

1. Add eggs, buttermilk, cinnamon, sugar, and salt into a large bowl and whisk well to combine

2. Melt the oil/ butter in a frying pan over medium heat.

3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure that both sides are coated well.

4. Place the bread into the frying pan and cook it for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until it is golden brown.

5. Once the bread is cooked, remove it from the frying pan and place it onto a plate.

6. Serve the French toast with your choice of toppings, such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
