30-Minute Mushroom Florentine Pasta

This delicious, creamy, easy and quick-to-make recipe is great for a busy weeknight meal.

  • 8 oz pasta uncooked
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1.5 cups half and half
  • 1 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp Italiano seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon/broth base
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan


  • Cook Pasta according to package instructions and drain.
  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large saucepan and add the sliced mushrooms and garlic
  • Sautee for about 5 minutes until it begins to brown
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to simmer
  • Mix in the pasta and toss to coat
  • Remove from heat and add the parmesan. Stir well then Serve


This dish is very flavourful and will be ready within 30 minutes. Be guaranteed everyone in the family will love it and impress your guests and get them to ask for seconds. The dish keeps well in the fridge so you can have leftovers if there'll be any left. 
  • You can use any kind of pasta for this dish. Feel free to use whole wheat instead for a healthier version. 
  • For people on keto or low-carb, replace pasta with zoodles and use heavy cream instead of half and half
  • You can add extra vegetables to make this a complete dish. This includes fresh/frozen spinach, bell peppers, zucchini, green peas, carrots etc. 
  • You can also add cooked chicken cubes for a richer flavour. Start by cooking the meat first.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. 
  • Replace whole milk with half and half. You can also use heavy cream for a richer taste.
