Easy One Skillet Cabbage

A delicious one-pot meal that is filled with vegetables and is easy to prepare.  This recipe is perfect for a quick and easy dinner option that can be ready in under an hour that the whole family will enjoy.

To prepare this dish, you will need;

Ingredients;

  • 1 small head of cabbage shredded
  • 3 medium carrots peeled and sliced
  • 3 medium russet potatoes peeled and cut into cubes
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp salt or to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat
  2. Add the potatoes and shallow fry until golden
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, onions and carrots and saute. Add salt and continue to saute for about 5 minutes
  4. Add butter to the skillet, followed by paprika, red pepper flakes, and turmeric and stir to mix.
  5. Add the shredded cabbage and turn the heat to low-medium. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes stirring in between
  6. Remove once it softens
  7. Serve, sprinkle with parsley and enjoy!
