Instructions
To prepare, coat the fish with olive oil after patting it dry with a paper towel.
Sprinkle black pepper, and then place it in the air fryer basket.
Set the fryer at 400°F for 10-12 minutes depending on thickness.
Meanwhile, whisk the soy sauce, sugar/honey, rice vinegar, black pepper, and onion powder, in a bowl.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat then add the garlic and jalapeno if using. Cook for about 1 minute. Don't let the garlic brown.
Add the sauce to the pan and cook for 8-12 minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove and add the sesame oil and mix well.
Serve the fish with the sauce spooned on top, garnished with scallions.
