A simple, yet delicious dish that combines the creaminess of avocado with the crunch of bread and various toppings that can be eaten for breakfast or as a snack.
Toast two slices of bread in a toaster or stovetop until golden brown.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
Mash the avocado with a fork until mostly smooth. Add hot sauce and mix well.
Spread the mixture on top of each slice of toast, then top with lemon juice, chopped onions and tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes if using. Alternatively, after mashing the avocado, you can add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix well then spread on the toast.
