Ingredients
  

For the wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings split into drumlets
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Sticky Soy Ginger Glaze

  • 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger minced or grated
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

For garnish

  • sesame seeds
  • sliced green onions

Instructions
 

  • First, pat the chicken wings completely dry with a paper towel. In a large bowl, toss the wings with the oil, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until they are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the seasoned wings on a wire rack placed over a baking sheet to allow air to circulate. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown, crispy, and cooked through.
  • While the wings are in the oven, combine all the sticky soy ginger sauce ingredients in a small pan. This includes the dark soy sauce, honey, minced ginger, minced garlic, lemon juice (or rice vinegar), sesame oil, and chili flakes (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 1-2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Once the wings are baked, carefully transfer them from the baking rack into the pan with the sticky sauce. Toss them until they are fully coated in the beautiful, glossy glaze.
  • Arrange the glazed wings on a serving platter. Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds and fresh sliced green onions for a pop of color and flavor. Serve immediately while they are still hot and crispy.
