Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup flour all purpose
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix well to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the rolled oats, chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts (if using).
  • Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 2 inches apart onto your prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
