Pork Chop in a Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium Pork chop about 3/4" pork chop
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne optional
  • 1/2 cup half & half cream
  • Salt & Black pepper to taste
  • 6 pieces mushrooms sliced
  • 1/8 tsp thyme

Instructions
 

  • Season pork chop with salt and pepper. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  • Place pork chops in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until an internal temperature of 145 is achieved. Please DO not leave it longer than that. This is the perfect timing if you need pork chop that is not dry. The secret is timing.
  • Remove and cover with foil and set aside
  • In a medium pan, Add olive oil, mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until slightly golden and tender.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for another 3 minutes.
  • Add the pork chop and simmer for 2 minutes then remove from the pan.
  • Remove and serve

Notes

You can fry these pork chops instead if you prefer. After seasoning, add olive oil to a pan on medium/high heat and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and cover while preparing the sauce
